Elliott & Murrey Coffee Roasters

On my coffee roaster tour I went to Elliott & Murrey coffee roasters. They are located in Cornelius Pass Business Park in Hillsboro Oregon. Not that far off Route 26 and about 5 minutes from my place.

Elliott & Murrey Roasters was the absolute Bomb!!! I ordered my usual coffee and Keri the owner ground my beans, weighed them, and added the coffee and water while the on a scale to get the right amount of everything (not a guesstimate like other places). They have a great selection of coffee, and it can also be purchased online.

While chatting with Keri about the coffee she gave me a tour of the Roastery which was awesome, and I loved seeing all of the bags of beans ready to be roasted. The Portland Coffee Roaster scene has some serious competition from a little guy. You have to check them out and tell Keri Richard sent you.

Inside the cafe is also located the roasting operations for Blind Coffee Roasters and Capital Press Coffee Roasters. Blind can only be purchased online and Tim, the owner, has won nineteen gold metals from 2015 for his coffees.

Capital Press was started by Steve Lanphier who passed away in 2017. He has trained baristas, helped to open coffee shops, consulted coffee roasters, and trained some of today’s best roasters. One of his students was his wife Noreen and she has taken over the business since Steve passed away. You can purchase their coffee online also and if you've gone to Sesame Doughnuts and ordered coffee you have probably purchased their coffee.
